Atlas Real Estate has recently acted on behalf of Birmingham Properties Group on the acquisition of Chamberlain Buildings. The Grade II listed mixed use building was acquired from Birmingham City Council for £6,484,000.
The former office element of the building above ground floor is to be converted into prime student accommodation totalling 205 beds.
BPG has worked with the council to repurpose the site which has full planning permission and will be ready for occupation for the 2023 academic year.
Commenting on the deal Andrew Franck-Steier said “It is great to be involved in a deal of this nature which was both complicated but rewarding as it will see this beautiful Grade II building returned to its former glory”.
